Eleanor Langford joined PoliticsHome as a reporter in November 2019. Before that, she freelanced for The Sun, The Sunday Times, i Newspaper and The Telegraph. Her byline can also be found in City AM and Surrey Live, among other publications. Though her main focus is UK politics, she is also interested in foreign politics, gender, environment and communities. Eleanor was also a music writer for Dork Magazine and was music editor at Nouse, her student paper.
She has an MA in Newspaper Journalism from City, University of London – a highly respected practical course covering shorthand, journalism ethics, media law, FOI requests, data journalism, video production and editorial production. Prior to that, she obtained a BA in Politics with International Relations from the University of York.
Outside of journalism, Eleanor has worked in digital media and marketing. She’s skilled in content production, social strategy, email marketing, newsletter production, Facebook ads, copywriting and basic design.
In her spare time, she enjoys digital photography. She spent two summers working as a photographer at an overnight summer camp in Ohio, producing 150 photos a day for online publication. Other projects include documenting the annual Data & AI in Media conference, covering events for the BFI and taking production shots of theatrical pieces across London.
